About:
Traveling abroad with a pet can go from a fun idea to a grueling chore when you find out that the process is not as simple as buying an airline-approved carrier.
Most countries receiving pets from the USA require specific veterinary care as well as detailed documentation provided by a USDA-Accredited veterinarian (paperwork that in turn must be endorsed by the USDA).
While I am neither a veterinarian nor affiliate of the USDA, I have helped plan the veterinary care and completed the documentation for over a hundred pets traveling to every continent but Antarctica.
I can do as little as chat with you about the basics of what to expect and prepare on your own, or I can create an easy-to-follow, detailed guide of every step you'll need to take and a timeline for you to follow. If you and your vet are feeling particularly overwhelmed, I can even do all of the above AND help draft all of the documentation you will need (keep in mind - the forms are NOT valid until your USDA-accredited vet has examined your pet and signed them).
Many veterinarians in the US have stopped offering international health certificate services because it's just too much of a headache. Hopefully, I can help!
